COUNSELLING & THERAPY IN Leamington Spa, Warwickshire & online

About me

I’m Kim, an integrative therapist passionate about supporting women who carry everything – holding it all together on the outside while struggling inside. I know how relentless the pressure can feel, how easily masking becomes second nature, and how heavy it is to keep going when no one sees the weight you’re carrying.

I trained as a therapist after many years of my own therapy, and I bring both lived experience and professional training to my work. I understand high-functioning ways of coping and how that can lead to burnout, what it’s like to feel deeply and find that overwhelming at times, and how early experiences can shape our self esteem.

You may have had therapy before and felt unseen, particularly if masking comes naturally to you. My intention is to offer a space where you feel genuinely met, and where there’s room to explore what sits beneath the surface.

My approach is warm, relational, and grounded. I offer a calm, non-judgemental space where we can explore your experiences at your own pace, and help make sense of things and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my

family and our dog, exploring the local countryside.

I know it can feel like a big step to get in touch, and it’s easy to get caught in a loop of overthinking. I offer a free 20-minute chat to explore working together, reach out anytime.

"I understand now that I'm not a mess, but a deeply feeling person in a messy world. I explain that now, when someone asks me why I cry so often, I say, 'for the same reason I laugh so often - because I'm paying attention".

How I Work

My approach to therapy

I believe you are the expert in your own experience, and I'll walk alongside you as we explore what's happening beneath the surface together. My approach is guided by warmth, compassion, curiosity, and attunement - my aim is to meet you where you are at and help you find your own answers, not by telling you what to do, but by noticing patterns, exploring the roots of your struggles, and understanding what's shaping your life right now.

We'll work relationally, which means paying attention not just to what you're saying, but to what's happening between us, what your body might be telling you, and the feelings and responses that arise. We might use creativity, metaphor, or nervous-system awareness to help you understand yourself more deeply and attune to your own needs. Sometimes words aren't enough, and that's okay.

It's important that you feel like you can trust and rely on me, and we'll build the therapeutic relationship together - openly and honestly. My clients say I'm warm and compassionate, and there's always space for laughter - let's be honest, sometimes that's what helps us talk about the hard stuff.

Life can feel messy and tangled. I offer you the safety to explore your inner world in new ways, so we can untangle your experiences and create meaningful shifts over time.

Qualifications & Experience

I’m a fully qualified and experienced trauma-informed Integrative Therapist, and a member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (Accredited Registrant MNCPS). I also have additional training in perinatal mental health. My experience includes working with women in the perinatal period and as a volunteer counsellor for a charitable organisation, supporting a diverse mix of clients with a broad range of trauma and lived experiences.

I ground my practice in a person-centred approach while drawing from a range of therapeutic models, including psychodynamic & attachment, humanistic, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This flexible approach allows me to respond to your individual needs - there's no 'one size fits all'. I continue to develop my skills through ongoing training, supervision, and professional development.

I’ve spent over 15 years working in high-pressure corporate environments and in the third sector, which gives me insight into the pressures women face and the challenges of carrying it all.
